Frequently asked questions

How do I join?

Use the form on Become a member. It takes about a minute, and membership is free.

When does my card arrive?

By e-mail, usually within minutes of joining.

Can I join for my whole family?

Yes. Choose “A household”; every child under 18 is included.

I live outside Latin America. Can I join?

Yes. Latin Americans living abroad are full members.

How do I leave, or delete my information?

Write to us and we delete what we hold. See the privacy notice.

Where are you based?

Our international office is in Long Beach, California, by appointment. We serve members across the region by e-mail, chat and voice.

What does TAS stand for?

TAS stands for Together and Stronger. TAS Latin America, in full Together and Stronger Latin America, is the Latin American house of a worldwide membership family.

Who can join?

Anyone who made a life in Latin America from another country, whatever their status; Latin Americans living abroad; and their families, relatives and friends.

Is membership really free?

Yes. Membership in TAS Latin America is free for individuals, households and associations. Some partner programs are paid services offered at member prices; each one says so clearly.

Which countries do you serve?

Mexico, the seven countries of Central America, the Andean countries, Brazil, the Southern Cone and the Guianas — twenty countries in all — and Latin Americans wherever they live.

Do you ask about immigration status?

Never. Not on the form, not for the card, not for any benefit. You join with a name and an e-mail address.

Is this a government office?

No. TAS Latin America is independent. It is not a government body, embassy or consulate, and it does not give legal, immigration, tax or financial advice.
